The service is excellent and the staff is very friendly. The food is great and if there is a dish you would like to try first, it is allowable. I have not been there in a while but I know that I would feel like I had never left if I went back.
I tried massimos pizza for the first time, and it was good! We ordered the large arrabbiata pizza that came with jalapeño, onions, hot cherry peppers, and sausage topped with mozzarella cheese. We also got a margarita pie for the kids. Both pizzas tasted great. They have pasta and seafood pizza too, but my lady wasn't having it lol. But perhaps next time, I'll grab one of those as well. I got a side order of Buffalo wings that were very crunchy and served as a good appetizer. They didn't have Buffalo sauce but came with blue cheese on the side. I will come back soon. It's not far from where we stay.
This will always be my favorite pizza around town. I remember when I first moved to Bridgeport from NY about 18yrs ago, I was disappointed in several pizzas until I tried Massimo's. The dough is perfect, not thin and weird like other pizza places around. The ingredients are always fresh tasting. The cheese has a nice pull. Today I tried an Arrabbiata pie, it was very favorable with a nice kick to it. I also got a Margherita pie, I noticed the recipe switched up, I like it better before, but it's still always delicious. They offer many other items on their menu, but I highly recommend you give their pizza a try!
I'm from the Bronx,nyc so I'm a hard critic on pizza. When I 1st moved to ct. in 2007 I was in search for good pizza. I happened to be in the little shopping area near my house when I saw Massimo's. Walked in had a slice & it was over. My fave are the pasta combo (consists of 2 manicottis,2 stuffed shells,& a nice portion of meat lasagna w/ mozzarella & sauce on top ), regular cheese pizza, & they meatball/chicken parm heroes( grinders in CT. Talk). The staff is so friendly & if you're a regular they call you by your name. It's a quick pick up & go which I usually do. It is always super busy so I call ahead to order my to go. I have dined in numerous times & waiter/waitress was always so nice. I never had a bad experience. It was a nice environment but always super packed. Whenever you're in BRidgeport,ct. & want an nyc style pizza ( not flat crust like most ct. pizza) come grab a slice from Massimo's. The friendly neighborhood pizzeria!
absolutely delicious food in this place, been my favorite for 10 plus years now. Clean, comfortable and employees are super accommodating. If you want a great meal and enjoy doing so with family or friends, this is the place.
Consistently high quality Italian food. Their entrees are excellent including Seafood pasta, chicken Rollatini and francaise dishes. Their desserts are great too! It's counter service but still attentive and clean tables. I've eaten here at least 10-12 times while on business in CT. I recommend you to try it while in the area. Definitely!
Massimos Pizzeria is in Bridgeport. Service was good. The pizzas were good even after a 20 minute drive. You don't have to reheat them. Eggplant parmigiana was really good. The marinara sauce they cook the eggplant parmigiana in is good. You get a large serving of pasta with it so its a filling dish. The pizzas were good, with thin crust and a lot of cheese.
Massimos is normally my local go to for sicilian pizza. I've been ordering from them for a very long time and am not often disappointed. However, sometimes their dishes are just a miss. I struggled with this review because today's pizza really missed the mark. It was really dry and kind of stale but we were about 10 minutes late picking it up. I'm guessing it got dried out while they were keeping it warm. I would rate today's pizza a 3 out of 5, but I do believe that as a business they deserve a 4 star rating. More often than not, you will end up with solidly good pizza. They also sell pizza by the slice, so thats a plus!
